About

I’m Milen Purewal, an infrastructure investment MSc student at UCL with a background in architecture and large-scale project delivery. This website is a space where I bring together investment thinking, infrastructure, and long-form written insight.

My academic focus sits at the intersection of real assets, risk, and long-term value creation. Through my MSc in Infrastructure Investment and Finance at UCL, I work on investment cases across transport, energy, and utilities, combining financial modelling with an understanding of regulation, sustainability, and institutional risk.

My current research interests include emerging-market infrastructure, FX risk premia, and how mispriced risk shapes capital allocation outcomes.

Before moving into finance, I spent two years at KSS Design Group working on large-scale stadia and training centre projects. That experience shaped how I think about investment: not just as spreadsheets and returns, but as assets that are designed, regulated, financed, and operated over decades - generating both social and economic value.

This website serves three purposes:

  • A portfolio of written analysis — infrastructure, real assets, and investment themes
  • A thinking space — to explore ideas beyond academic assessments
  • A personal brand platform — reflecting how I approach problems
